Since October 01 2007, we have been employing the NMI Build & Test facility (http://nmi.cs.wisc.edu/) to build and test the Open Source DataTurbine software every night on four different compute platforms. In April 2008, the Open Source DataTurbine Initiative team participated in the First annual NMI Build & Test workshop. This workshop provided an opportunity to discuss requirements and future plans for automated software testing of DataTurbine. As a follow-up activity, the OSDT team and NMI staff will have a conference call during the second week of May to discuss and plan the infrastructure for conducting rigorous performance tests for DataTurbine under a broad range of network conditions including volume of network traffic, network topologies, and packet drop rates.
