Open Source DataTurbine Initiative member Sameer Tilak attended the GLEON 9 meeting, and gave a presentation on our modular, scalable and open-source data center architecture that is built around industry standards. The presentation also explained the status of the DataTurbine deployment at the NTL LTER Network testbed. The DataTurbine-based system at NTL has been robust under a number of tests. A few other sites expressed interest in evaluating DataTurbine at their sites. These include sites in Montana, Kentucky, and Michigan. The GLEON 9 meeting was hosted at Camp Manito-wish, Boulder Junction, Wisconsin, USA 12-15 October 2009. GLEON 9 was attended by 96 participants from countries around the world.
