In collaboration with the National Center for High-Performance Computing (NCHC) Taiwan, Open Source DataTurbine Initiative team has deployed Open Source DataTurbine-based system to acquire data from underwater cameras (in the ocean) monitoring coral reef at Kenting. Recently, in collaboration with our California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (calit2) collaborators we extended this system by integrating Open Source DataTurbine and SAGE based OptiPortals. This integration makes it possible to view in real-time the output of multiple such cameras in high-resolution on OptIPortals. OptIPortals provide the ideal termination point for such content rich environments where display real estate can be used effectively.
